Although i came here expecting a lavish stay, i found a room so small that sitting was an experience only available on the bed. The breakfast was a disappointment-hard rolls and no cut fruit? How good. Shockingly, there was no upgrade offered for my inconveniences. Perhaps they were saving that treat for someone extra special?

Regina 3* (Room: 463): Breakfast with a moderate variety of products in the GROUND FLOOR next to Reception. . Modern medium sized room with very large Philips TV (about 46") with access to INTERNATIONAL CHANNELS (BBC, TVE, etc.) . WiFi accessible from all over the Hotel suitable for one week's use without having to re-enter passwords . Modern and functional bathroom. . Trevecchi 4* (Room 136): Slightly more varied breakfast with exquisite stuffed croissants (the exquisite vegans) in the BASEMENT FLOOR . Large old room with high ceilings with Samsung TV size like 42" but smaller than Hotel Regina TV, framed as a picture WITHOUT ACCESS to foreign channels (it is only possible to watch Italian DTT TV without premium or international channels) . WiFi accessible from all over the Hotel suitable for one week use without having to re-enter passwords (same as H. Regina) . Old bathroom with old material. The cistern (push button on the wall) worked one of every 5 times it was used, having to fill a bucket of water (trash can) to evacuate the toilet.
A little varied breakfast in a little intimate place, next to Reception.

We have traveled 19 friends from Madrid, the hotel is great, recently reformed, and with pleasure, the cleaning a 10, is not a very big hotel, which makes it have more charm, the location is great, the street where it is located is the equivalent in Bologna to the Gran Via in Madrid. The breakfast was quite good, natural orange juice, which for me is to be grateful. In my case I shared a quadruple room, it was very big and very nice, the bathroom perhaps a little small for a quadruple room, but no, it was a problem for us. We all agreed that we would repeat hotel for sure.
Although it was not the hotel's responsibility, I'm telling you, to prevent this from happening to anyone, in this or any other hotel, as soon as we arrived, while we were having a beer and before going up to the rooms, in the hotel's Bar/Hall a friend's purse was stolen, with all the money and documentation, it was our fault, because we all relaxed thinking that being inside the hotel our belongings were safer, but it's obvious that you can never trust or neglect for a minute. So, always be very careful with your things.

A good breakfast surprise
The location was perfect for exploring, just minutes from Piazza Maggiore. The staff were great, remembering my coffee preference every morning. Breakfast was a real treat with barista-quality options!
The room felt a bit cramped with limited space around the bed, and the air conditioning was a bit loud at times, making it challenging to sleep deeply.

Great location - staff were helpful - and while the rooms were a little tired - they were clean and quiet - just what we needed. Very good value for money - would recommend Bologna and would definately stay at this hotel again!

Comfortable Stay with Great Location
The family room was spacious and clean, perfect for our needs. The location offered easy access to city attractions, and we enjoyed fantastic breakfasts at a nearby café, L'Incontro-much better than the hotel's offerings. Don't miss out on exploring Bologna's charming streets during your stay!

Very good Location! I liked the fact that I was in the centre of Bologna in a matter of minutes. Close to the shops in Via Indipendenza and good flea market on the week ends in the piazza behind the hotel. Very good breakfast and good check out time (12pm).

The hotel is centrally located. Just a short walk under porticos takes you to Piazza Maggiore and nearby attractions. The air conditioning was a lifesaver after long, hot days.
My wife says that the bathroom setup could be more family-friendly.
